Sunday Recap September 30, 2026

What an incredible final Sunday of Family Month! We’re so thankful for the two that were baptized in the Name of Jesus, just like that Bible says!

We celebrated, we worshiped, we were challenged, and we committed ourselves and our families to God in a way that we never have before.. In this Sunday’s message we talked about One Decision. Before Joshua asked Israel to make a decision, he reminded them of their story. God had brought them out, delivered them, provided for them, and had been faithful every step of the way. I believe we were asked the same this weekend.

But before we move forward, we need to remember where we came from and never forget the God we serve. You and I are here today because someone prayed for us, taught us, and interceded on our behalf. Now it’s our turn to do the same for the next generation.

I don’t want my children to simply inherit possessions. I want them to inherit a prayer life, a love for the Word, a faith that they will carry into their own homes and families, a holy burden for searching souls around them.

Joshua called Israel to remember and then choose. It wasn’t about an emotional decision in a moment. It was about making up their minds about who they were going to serve.

That’s still the decision before each and every one of us: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

Let’s display our Family Covenants in our homes, keep them as reminders of the committment we made on Sunday, and keep building homes that serve Him, families that glorify God and advance His Kingdom, and faith that will outlive us.

I am for you!
